Experience in Literacy Consulting and Training

2003 (and ongoing) Became an Endorsed National Trainer for the Four Blocks
Literacy Model (Cunningham & Hall).

2002 (and ongoing)                Developed three comprehensive literacy trainings:
                                               “TOOLS for Literacy”
                                               “TOOLS Plus”
                                               “TOOLS for Understanding”
                                               Hundreds of Arizona teachers have attended TOOLS
                                               trainings.

2002 (and ongoing)                Provided training and support for the Four Blocks Literacy
                                               Model (“Building Blocks in Kindergarten”) for the Grand
                                               Rapids Public School District, Grand Rapids, Michigan.

2002 (and ongoing)                Worked with several school districts in Arizona, Colorado
                                               and Michigan, providing training, modeling and coaching in
                                               support of teachers’ professional development in literacy.

1999 - 2005                            As Literacy Staff Developer for a school district, worked
                                               collaboratively with a Literacy Team to provide
                                               instructional coaching, training and support to teachers.

1995 - 1997                             As Career Ladder Facilitator, provided staff development,
                                                coaching and assistance to over 60 teachers from four
                                                different elementary schools in regard to student
                                                achievement.
